Black Matte

The melanic characteristics desired in the present standardization are aimed at achieving uniform
mantles of matte gray color, with the presence of horizontal baring with slight variations in tone
(discontinuity / mantle / long feathers). The presence of design on the head, neck and back will be
penalized. They will be tolerated on the flank and chest, due to the lower load of dispersed melanins
in the area that impair the formation of the mantle. Excessively oxidized tones, with a tendency to
black, or bright grays will be highly penalized.

Horny parts should be as oxidized as possible.
