The Gouldian Finch is a bird that belongs to the Passeriform order, member of the Strildidae family and is also
part of the genus Erythrura. It received its name in honor of the wife of the British ornithologist John Gould,
Mrs. Elizabeth Gould.
This bird can be found in the wild in northern Australia, although today it is considered an endangered bird. In
the wild, birds with green back and violet chest can be found exclusively, and can be found the three head
phenotypes known today, red, black and orange head.
